Woven Materials are made from yarns of organic and inorganic fibers spun with brass or copper wire to give additional strength and improved thermal conductivity. These yarns are woven into a dense tape or cloth and then saturated with heat resistant resins and friction modifiers. After baking and surface grinding these materials can be made into parts or sold as rolls and sheets. Outstanding characteristics include rapid break in, flexibility and the ability to perform in the presence of contaminants such as oil, mud, etc.
